Foodie Friday: Lumpia and Pancit

Have you heard the news?? The shop will be reopening on May 28th and its first feature country is the Philippines!! To help you get in the spirit, I wanted to feature some delicious, authentic Filipino food made by a fellow military spouse home business owner – Elle Gomez. This woman is all around talented when it comes to food. From cakes to lumpia to meal prep she can do it all.

Elle and her family are from Pampangga which is in the Luzon area of the Philippines. She loves to cook and she started her cake and catering business about two years ago because of her passion. She’s always up for challenging, fun designs with cakes or cookies (check out the albums on her Facebook page). While I do love anything sweet, I am never one to pass up an opportunity for lumpia! Her pork lumpia is perfectly crispy without being crunchy or crumbly. The inside is so flavorful and moist that you’ll probably eat ten before realizing it. The lumpia pairs really well with her pancit. Crunchy cabbage, crispy pork bits, an undertone of lemon, and just the right amount of sauce make this dish easy to indulge in. Her party plates are great for office parties, holidays, or week night multi-family dinners. Next time you’re looking for a night off of cooking, or a dish to share at a party that will certainly be a crowd pleaser, reach out to Elle at From My Kitchen To Yours.
